Why are my emails sent from mail@sendfoxmail.com?
Your emails send from mail@sendfoxmail.com when your domain isn't validated yet. Validate your sending domain and your emails will come from your own address instead.
Why SendFox uses mail@sendfoxmail.com
Until you validate a sending domain, SendFox can't prove to inbox providers that you own the address in your "from" field. To keep your deliverability strong, emails are sent from mail@sendfoxmail.com — an address with an established sending reputation.
Your own address isn't lost: it's used as the reply-to, so when subscribers hit reply, the response goes straight to you.
How to send from your own address
- Validate your domain by adding three CNAME records to your DNS settings — follow how do I validate my domain?
- If your DNS is hosted with GoDaddy, Google, NameCheap, or DreamHost, note the Host-column quirk in this guide.
- Once validated, use a from address at that domain — your emails now send from it.
Troubleshooting
I validated my domain but emails still send from mail@sendfoxmail.com
- The from address on the email must use the validated domain. If you validated yourdomain.com but send from a Gmail address, the fallback still applies.
- Check that the domain row still shows as validated under Settings → Sending → Email domains, and use Revalidate if needed. If validation fails, see why is my domain validation not working?
Frequently Asked Questions
Will replies go to mail@sendfoxmail.com?
No. Your own from address is set as the reply-to, so replies always reach your inbox.
Does sending from mail@sendfoxmail.com hurt my deliverability?
No — it protects it. The fallback exists so unvalidated addresses don't trip spam filters. Validating your own domain is still the best long-term setup.
Do I need SPF or DKIM records when I validate?
No — the three CNAME entries cover authentication automatically. See do I need SPF or DKIM records?
