How to Format your CSV files from other Platforms
Importing contacts from another platform? Formatting your CSV correctly first makes the upload smooth. Here’s the layout SendFox expects.
The CSV format SendFox expects
Your file should be a .csv with a column for each piece of contact data:
- Email — required.
- First name — optional.
- Last name — optional.
Here’s an example of the columns and headers a list should have:

Exporting from another platform
Most email tools let you export contacts to CSV. After exporting, open the file and make sure the column headers are clear (email, first name, last name) and remove any columns SendFox doesn’t need. SendFox stores one contact per email, so duplicates are merged on import.
Troubleshooting
My columns didn’t map correctly
- Give each column a clear header and re-check the mapping step during import. The email column is required.
Special characters look wrong
- Save the CSV as UTF-8 so names with accents or non-Latin characters import cleanly.
